Yesterday I took my two big school kids to the Opera House to see Oliver Jeffer's "The Incredible Book Eating Boy" and they loved it. Miss H wasn't sure at all about the theatre because it's 'too dark in here mummy' but once it started she forgot about being scared and joined it with all the action. It's a great little show and very funny. If you're in Sydney these school holidays I can highly recommend it. The highlight was when the cat did a poo!!!

Such a pair of clowns! |

Selfie!! Trying to teach them how to take a selfie was hilarious and we had to do about 100 takes once they go the hang of it. |

We've been seeing these beautiful rhinos all of the place of late. Having some Africa in my soul I think the campaign is AMAZING! I remember seeing real rhino's in South Africa and they are such beautiful animals. I'll be so sad if my kids never get to see any :( |

Rhino love |

They just couldn't' resist and of course I obliged with my camera |

Aarghh getting the boat home instead of the bus was not my smartest decision. I was greener than a grass snake, much to the kids amusement! |
Have you ever seen a real rhino?
The Royal Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be visiting the Opera House in Sydney TODAY, will you be going too?

The selfie looks great! They say practice makes perfect - your kids will master the selfie so soon that you won't know your phone. The swell in the last photo sure looks big, no wonder you were feeling a bit green.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm afraid of that. I have already lost my ipad to the kids!! :))
DeleteWhat a cool blog you have! I found you through Twinkle in the Eye. Do come over to my place soon for a visit. NanaHood.com Teresa
ReplyDeleteOh thank you Teresa. I will most definitely pop over and visit you xxx
DeleteWhat gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteThis theatre production sounds great. Fun and you get to see it in the Opera House as well.
We are so lucky to be able to go the Opera House. Kids have no idea how lucky they are xx
DeleteSadly, poo is often the highlight, isn't it Robyn? I bet you regretted that boat as soon as it took off! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, yes! It was the one thing they couldn't wait to get home and tell Dad about it x
DeleteGreat pictures! Love Sydney
ReplyDeleteI have just written a series of children's books you or your visitors might be interested in
They are The Little Book of Amazing Animals series and are available in the kindle store. The children might like the one on Australian animals (my personal favorite)
Wow, congratulations. I would love to check them out xx
DeleteWhat great photos! If I lived in Sydney I would totally have been on the Opera House steps!
ReplyDeleteI did think about it I must admit, but I;m just not great with kids and crowds, sends my stress levels rocketing! xx
DeleteYou really must have had such an amazing upbringing, I bet the kids love hearing about rhinos you used to see. They do look like cute, cheeky kids, just like their awesome parents I bet!!! I heard Kate worn yellow, wish I was there. Oh and I can related, to many a horrible ferry rides to Manly from Circular Quay, but much faster than bus xx
ReplyDeleteAfrica is a beautiful place Em, I'd love to take everybody to see it!! Mmmm, I might have to google the yellow dress. I can't believe I'm going to miss their Manly visit to go camping :(( Although I'm sure I'll be happy once the tent is up and the wine is flowing. Happy Easter xx
DeleteOoh, I saw a rhino and baby at the Monarto Zoo on the bus that goes around. I would so love to see those rhinos in Sydney, it has been way too long since I was there. The sea looks way too choppy, I would have been green too!
