After lots of lovely advice from readers and friends we decided to get her some private lessons as it was really stressing me out (especially as we live so close to water) that she couldn't swim.
Well......... it is absolutely AMAZEBALLS how much she has progressed in less than four months. She spent the first two lessons on the top step, not even moving a finger (just slightly stubborn) and then suddenly her confidence started to soar. She now counts the sleeps until her next lesson and has taken to bossing her teacher around no end!!!
I'll leave you with a few pics for Wordless Wednesday. (One day I might actually manage a wordless post!!)
Linking up with the lovely Trish from My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday.

That is wonderful her confidence soared and water skills are improved. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up.
Thanks Trish xxx
DeleteI put great emphasis on the importance of swimming lessons. It makes such a difference to a child's confidence, your piece of mind and also their contribution later at the school level. The water looks just divine!
ReplyDeleteIt does doesn't it. It's so hard standing on the side watching - all I want to do it jump in!! x
DeleteOhh my goodness... so like Miss E. ! Petrified. We had to stop swimming lessons last year because of the trauma. We have now started again and week 1... tears. Week 3 she is in the water and swimming.... I am looking forward to see where she will be after 4 months. Well done Mumma. Well done Miss H xx
ReplyDeleteWe were exactly the same Tahlia - I stopped her swimming classes for just over a year before we found this private tutor because it just wasn't worth the tears and trauma! She actually learnt to get out the pool and would just run and hide the change rooms!! Good luck with your little one x
DeleteThat's great news Robyn, such a relief x
